Proof of consent — what logged decisions are for

Privacy rules often expect you to show what happened when someone agreed or refused cookies and related processing.

What logging usually means

  • A record that a choice was made (accept, reject, or granular options).
  • When it happened and in what context (for example which banner version they saw).

On platform (paid) plans

You may get reports and exports suited to internal reviews or questions from partners or regulators — faster than piecing together server logs by hand.

Free banner

The free offering may not include the same reporting depth; check the current feature comparison on the product site or in your account.

Logging supports accountability; it does not by itself guarantee that every other part of your site is lawful — see Does a banner make me fully compliant?.
